[ Duplicity is back on its bullshit. Ephemera doesn't take pictures of his sketchbooks for exactly this fucking reasons, but when there's a will, apparently there's a way in Duplicity. And someone - or something - has gotten into his phone and his sketchbook both.
The sketch is a simple one. Bare bones, something done idly. But with care. He's drawn the second time he and Trevor met, Trevor with his shirt off and glancing back over his shoulder, hair falling over his face. This was before Ephemera painted him, when they were talking it out.
A simple sketch. Not one he intended to show anyone. But when there's a will, there is, indeed, a way. ]

[ Oh, fuck him. Again? ]

[ There's a pause. ]

God, I can't believe I'm saying this...
[ Alucard inhales deeply before sighing. ]
There are a pair of what I believe to be mentally impaired Vampires in the City. They've managed to ruffle the feathers of almost all other Vampires that dwell here. Please, Belmont, don't slay them? They're harmless, really. I'll take care of them myself.

The very same, yes. Oh? And which Vampire might that be?
Don't worry, I think there's more chance of them being killed than the other way around. Honestly, they're like children. I can't believe I even feel sorry for them, Belmont.
Perhaps I'm going soft in my old age.

Ah, yes, Lenore, ever the diplomat I see.
I've met with their leader in person, Belmont. Trust me, they're all bark. You could scare them by stamping at them and raising your fist.

I won't let that happen, nor do I think they truly would.
[ Alucard on the contrary, has let his guard completely down with her, something he's still not entirely sure he's admitted to himself yet. ]
Very well, Belmont, I won't tell you how to do your job. Just know that I have this under control. I'd rather no more bloodshed between your people and my fathers if it's possible.

Trevor I'm in need of some brutal honesty and a decent wit. [And therefore she's here.]

A gift, to keep you warm through the winter.
In my home, we give gifts at the end of harvest - to keep us in good cheer all through the long dark to come. I know how dearly you long for home, as I do the same, so I thought to give you a gift though we have not known each other long, I saw this sigil upon your garments, and I thought perhaps it was your family crest, so I made this for you, so you could carry a little more of it. The wreath is usually given at midsummer and kept until mid-winter when we burn them on the longest night to ward off bad omens for the new year.
In all regard, yours,
Gilia St. Loe, Daughter-Sea, She Who Sings the Ocean to Prosperity
[ With the note comes a box that has been carefully packaged, scented faintly with lavender and rosemary. On the top is a simple wreath of leaves, bound together with twists of herbs and flowers that make it faintly sweet, with how it has all been carefully dried. Below it is the main gift itself. A jacket, simple in cut and design, though to the touch it's sturdy wool, and on the inside of the jacket, is the very simple wreathed embroidery - of a T and S, combined in weaving flowers. Something to keep love close. ] A gift, to keep you warm through the winter.

what do you call a diplomat in times of peace
Humoring that, verily.
This place has problems of its own, threats and politics, but there are no courts or nobles or wars in the way that I recognize it.
I keep asking myself the same question
And I keep failing to come up with any answer other than
useless
or
whore
Though at least not both, since I think we can both agree that whores aren't useless.

I come to you for sarcasm and now I just want another bottle of wine
YES, fine. Ugh.
