Because we need to be able to give him a reason to think he can still trust us and come to us for favors, and not everyone is good at lying.

I don't know if an artificial intelligence can be tricked or make mistakes, but no one is ever as intelligent infallible as they claim they are.

I suppose I'm not used to doing things in such a manner. Scheming and trickery. I don't even know if I'm a good liar or not, there's never been call for such a thing.

Ah, for the simplicity of home. Where I see an evil thing and hit it until it's dead.

I like direct methods myself, but scheming and trickery is the best method against a trickster. We don't have an idea of what his field of influence is or who might be working for him.

[It's possible he has some Displaced on his side. Or even Displaced willing to sell out the others for personal gain. Ginia likes to think the best of people, but never forgets what reality could be too.]

I'm guessing it's easier knowing what's evil and what isn't when the evil is probably trying to eat you.

Very much so, yes. By and large, evil isn't subtle where I'm from.

All the creatures of the Night Horde. Which were created by vampires, so... yes. I fight vampires. And the general injustice of the Church, when necessary.

I can't speak to the state of the church or how injust they are here, but I think there are always people who need helping.

But in a place like this, I don't think anyone has to necessarily do anything. Sometimes enjoying the world for a bit is enough.

I've found that if I'm not protecting people... well. The person I was is not one I'm proud of having been.

I think everyone has the chance to reinvent themselves. If they want to.

[At least, she desperately hopes for. Ginia so very much wants to be more than who she's been for so long.]

Still, I'd rather not do so again. It felt less like a reinvention and more a return to form, in any case.

I'm not sure. Perhaps staying busy is the best I can hope for here.
